A fine English bamboo writing table or desk from the Aesthetic Movement era, circa 1870 - 1910, featuring a rectangular parquetry inlay top with inset embossed leather panel in the center and two squares framed in bamboo - originally for inkwells, over a frieze with embossed panels around the sides and a small drawer to the front, the drawer with lacquered Chinoiserie panel and brass pull. The whole set upon a bamboo stretcher frame base.
