A fine Scottish framed landscape marquetry panel of inlaid wood, circa 1930s, by A.H. McIntosh & Co. Ltd., Kirkcaldy, in the manner of Rowley Gallery, inlaid with a scenic view of Scotland.

Ready to hang and featuring finely patinated inlaid woods bound in wooden frame.

Marquetry is the art of using different woods in different colours, grain patterns and textures cut in different shapes to make a picture.

In the 1930s, A.H McIntosh & Co. made marquetry panels which were fitted to the Cunard White Star ship HMS Queen Mary which launched in 1936.

The back bears a round McIntosh stamp which has a side view line drawing of Queen Mary in the center with the wording A.H. McINTOSH & Co. LTD. KIRKCALDY around the outside.
