A fine English trolley server (or dumb waiter) of mahogany featuring three tiers with mouded-edge tops, each tier adjoined to four turned column supports, set upon rolling spoke casters of brass. The top tier with gallery around the sides and back, the bottom tier with two drawers - each drawer with hand carved scroll-work handle.
Such servers (often referred to as trolley servers, dumb waiters, or buffets) were a feature of the English country gentleman's house, often rolled out after dinner, each tier with a choice of desserts, etc.
