An English cabinet or chest of mahogany, fondly known as a Wellington, featuring a moulded top over six drawers of ascending size (top to bottom). The third and fourth drawers with faux front (giving an overall appearance of seven drawers), opening to a fitted secretary with four cupboards and two drawers and lined in curly maple. The inside fall front with felt writing surface. Flanked by pilasters, one locking (with key), with stylized acanthus-carved corbels, on plinth base.
Perfect for use as a collector's cabinet or lady's lingerie chest.
