A fine and unusual English writing table or desk of mahogany from the Georgian period, featuring a moulded rectangular top over a frieze showing two faux drawer fronts with brass swan pulls, the ingeniously designed frieze pulls out showing a sliding writing surface of green felt. When the slide is pushed forward, a fitted compartment is revealed. Classical column detailing on all four legs, each leg with hidden rolling casters.
