A fine English period George I secretary bureau escritoire or scriptor of figured patinated walnut from the 18th century featuring original split pin brass drop handles throughout. The top tier with ogee canopy long drawer over cabinet fall. The fall with inset leather and opening to a cupboard with fitted drawers and center door with interior fitted drawers. The bottom tier with two short drawers over two long drawers - each drawer with decorative escutcheons. The whole set upon bracket feet.

Depth with fall extended: 40 3/4 inches

Fall dimensions: Width 28 3/4 inches x Depth 24 3/4 inches
