A fine Italian Modern rectangular two-tiered console table of stylish brass and chrome by the celebrated modern designer, Romeo Rega, featuring a top with inset glass over four angled legs with lower shelf of inset glass.
Romeo Rega (1925 – 1984) was a furniture designer, who in collaboration with other Italian designers in the 1970s, combined inventiveness and elegance with strong modernist influences. Working with Willy Rizzo and Gabriella Crespi, they championed Modernist Glam, still very much in vogue today. He applied the traditional methods of working iron with materials such as brass, steel and lucite. The four-rod tables, zeta consoles and obelisk lamps are some of his most famous pieces. The company manufactured until 1981.
